For more than 16 years, it has been my honor to serve Lexington Health and support our exceptional providers as they use the most advanced medicine and state-of-the-art technologies to achieve our mission of providing quality health services that meet the needs of our communities.

As vice president and chief marketing and development officer, I am committed to expanding this mission-driven service throughout the Midlands by leading person-first, community-centered programs and initiatives that continue Lexington Health’s legacy of offering world-class care close to home.

I have spent my entire career in nonprofit, starting in the call center at my alma mater and continuing through multiple roles in higher education fundraising where I could pay forward the generosity I received as a student onto the next generation!

In 2016, I joined the amazing team at LMC Foundation. Having just lost my father to cancer the year before, I felt blessed to see my work help families walking the same difficult road I had traveled. Every day, I am fulfilled by our mission of hope and feel proud to be part of the compassionate care LMC provides our community.

From my childhood completing homework on the oncology floor while my Granny fought breast cancer to the delivery of my own precious son in May of 2019, Lexington Health has housed many of my fondest memories.

My work through the Foundation provides me the opportunity to enhance the care and experience for other patients and their families going through some of either the worst or best times of their lives.

Through my education at my alma mater, I developed a strong foundation in Public Health, but it was my growing passion for philanthropy that truly shaped my commitment to making a difference.

The fulfillment granted from helping others in a time of need supports me in my dedication to fundraising for life-changing initiatives. I am honored to be a part of a team that fosters trust and building strong relationships to continue our mission of enhancing patient and community resources.

My career in nonprofit work began over 15 years ago. Throughout this time, I have been part of national organizations that give back to local communities, yet it has often been challenging to share with donors the tangible impact of those efforts.

I am excited to join Lexington Health Foundation, where I will have the opportunity to share with donors the real difference their contributions make for Lexington Health patients, their families, our staff, and the community at large. Together, we are offering hope and support to those in need.

Tanya Derrick

Foundation Coordinator

Headshot of Tanya Derrick.

During my first week working in the Foundation, I witnessed firsthand how the kindness and generosity from LMC employees impacted a fellow employee who had just experienced a traumatic loss.

This showed me that together we can help others who are experiencing a difficult season in their life and can offer them hope. Working for the Lexington Health Foundation means I get to be part of a caring, compassionate team that is instrumental in helping our LMC employees, patients, and community by offering hope and support.

Angie Elder

Programs Coordinator

Headshot of Angie Elder.

As I sat in LMC orientation 8 years ago and listened to the Foundation speak about their programs, I knew this is where I wanted to be.

This team's passion and devotion to employees, patients and the community is truly amazing. I already know the huge impact of this team and I am so excited to be a part of something bigger. My dream has always been to instill in my children the characteristics of compassion and love. I cannot think of a better way to demonstrate that every day than through my personal life, and as a bonus, through my job!
